Shweta Singh has joined B.A.G. Films & Media Ltd. as Associate Editor and anchor. She was a prime-time anchor with Aaj Tak, the Hindi news and current affairs channel from the TV Today Network. She started her career in 1995 covering the Bihar Assembly elections for The Times of India, Patna. After a brief stint with various print media, she moved to television in 1998 as an anchor and reporter with Sahara News. She was also briefly associated with ZEE News in 2002-03. She spent almost five years with Aaj Tak. In addition to anchoring, her forte is also sports reporting, having covered events ranging from the Olympics to the Cricket World Cup.

Highly-placed sources have informed that the FMCG behemoth major has decided to renew the contract with MindShare Fulcrum. As the norm has been, this too would be a three-year contract. HUL media spends are pegged at upwards of Rs 1,000 crore.

"I think the obituary for mass advertising will be due soon because agencies find it so convenient to work with mass media, while clients are seeking below-the-line and above-the-line business solutions for their businesses and their corporates. An agency's future depends on this understanding, and defining its processes as a part of its growth. We surely do print ads and outdoors, but we need to explore other mediums of communication. Mass advertising will always have a future, but I am suspicious about the brightness of that future."
