While the numbers may be low and perhaps in line with expectations, it is widely believed at as the tournament progresses, there would be more surprises rating wise and the teams’ performance as well.

TAM Media Research has released the six-metro numbers for day 2, 3 and 4 matches of the Indian Premier League Season 2. Around 28 million viewers watched the IPL matches across April 19, 20 and 21, with the match numbers swinging from as high as 6.02 on April 20 to 4.64 on April 21.

TAM Media Research has released the numbers for the two matches played on the first day of IPL 2 for the six metros. For the C&S 4+, the Mumbai Indian Vs Chennai Super King match rated 5.55, while the Royal Challengers Vs Rajasthan Royals scored a 5.48. The opening match last year delivered over 8 TRPs. A closer look shows that the digital households have delivered better ratings that the analog. Also, the AdEx analysis shows that Vodafone and Airtel led the brands dominating the commercial breaks.
