After the show of 17 Lions last year, 2011 has got India back on track. Indian agencies have won 24 Lions in all -- this is one short of the 25 Lions of 2009, which was the highest India has ever won at Cannes Lions. Mudra and BBDO led the India tally.

While PR Lions on the whole saw a drop in metals awarded, 2011 is India’s best year so far in the category with three Silver Lions. BBDO India was awarded two Silvers for Shave Sutra for Gillette, while Mudra was awarded one Silver for Silent Anthem for Reliance. Jury member, Veena Gidwani, Madison PR, stated that India had good work, but a lot of better work was missing.
