Radio One comes to Kolkata; ropes in Rajeev Bhandari, Station Head-North & East?blur=25

Radio One on December 15 announced its launch in Kolkata, marking its footprint in the seven metros. The Kolkata station will be headed by Rajeev Bhandari, Station Head - North and East. Radio One Kolkata will air Bengali talk and Hindi music. Radio One has also announced a sales alliance with Radio Misty for Siliguri and Gangtok as part of its East package, which will be sold jointly.

DishTV has announced the premier of a recent Bollywood release, ‘Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye’, under the banner of UTV Motion Pictures over its Movie-on-Demand service within three and a half weeks of its theatrical release. Meanwhile, the DTH service provider aims for 9 million subscribers by 2010.

Close on the heels of bagging the media duties of Mahuaa TV, Motivator has won the media mandate for Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company Ltd, the proposed new insurance venture promoted by Bank of India, Dai-ichi and Union Bank. Motivator won the account following a multi-agency pitch. The account size is pegged at Rs 15-16 crore.
