Nitin Alawadhi has put in his papers at Cheil Communications as Client Servicing Director to assume a larger role at The Times of India’s Response Development Department as Deputy General Manager. Alawadhi 12 years’ experience on pan India projects across industries, conceptualising and executing events, promotions, seminars, exhibitions and direct marketing assignments with SIS, retail and OOH media. He has worked with Percept D’ Mark, where he later formed his own outfit, called Speed Events and Promotions. He has also worked with Amway India and Ogaan Publications, before joining Cheil Communications in August 2004.

Banerjee has 15 years of industry experience in leadership positions in human resources and sales management, spanning across media and FMCG industries. An alumnus of XLRI, he began his career with Britannia Industries and later moved to PepsiCo, where he also received the ‘Best Sales Leadership’ Award.

Hello FM has brought on board Balasubramanian as Assistant Vice President & Head - Brand Integration. Popularly known as Bala among the media fraternity, he will be in charge of the seven stations of Hello FM in Tamil Nadu. In his new assignment, Bala will take up the function of brand integration. This would relate to the commercial aspects of the stations with an additional responsibility of weekend programme formatting. Apart from Brand Integration, Bala will also head the weekend time band (Saturday and Sunday programming) across all seven stations. He will be reporting to SK Ramesh, Executive Vice President and Head of Content, Hello FM. Having started his radio stint at Radio Mirchi, Bala’s last assignment was as Chief Programming Head with Club FM.

With the relentless coverage of the Mumbai terror attacks still continuing on news channels, the I&B Ministry has stepped in to issue an advisory to all news and current affair TV channels to desist from repeatedly showing the attack footage. The Ministry has also warned of ‘appropriate action’ in case of any violation.
