BAG Films and Media Ltd has reported a stand-alone net profit of Rs 1.14 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007, up 45 per cent as compared to Rs 78.6 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The company’s net income during the quarter was marginally up at Rs 12 crore, from Rs 11.8 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

Network18 has reported a 119 per cent jump in operating profit quarter-on-quarter to Rs 18.4 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007. However, Network18 has suffered a consolidated loss of Rs 20.6 crore (after tax and ESOP charge out) for the second quarter as compared to a loss of Rs 11 crore in the previous quarter.

Where Radio City has come out as a strong contender for the SEC AB, Big FM is a clear number one in Bangalore. Red FM has done well in Mumbai, while Radio Mirchi, too, has some good numbers to show.
