Automobile advertising saw a decline of 19 per cent on print during Jan-Aug 07 compared to Jan-Aug ’06. March 2007 saw the maximum automobile advertisements. While 53 per cent of the ad volumes were contributed by car and jeep segments, Maruti Suzuki was the main advertiser in the automobile sector. Maximum advertising share of automobile industry was visible in non-metro city newspapers. It was noticed that automobile advertisers preferred multiple and price promotional ad campaign.
