Nokia Siemens Networks, one of the global enablers of communications services, has appointed Ashish Chowdhary as Head of India and Nepal sub-region. He will oversee all operations of the company in India. Chowdhary’s last role was in Nokia as Country Head - India, Nokia Networks, since December 2003. Prior to that, he was Senior Director and VP for Enterprise Business with Hughes Network Systems, USA, and Hughes Escorts Communications Ltd, India. Chowdhary has 17 years of experience in the telecom and IT industry.

Tony Maddox has been appointed Executive Vice-president and Managing Director of CNN International. He assumes responsibility for a portfolio that includes five CNN services in English; CNN en Español; CNNj; CNN.com International; CNNArabic.com; the joint ventures CNN-IBN, CNN+ and CNN Turk; as well as international newsgathering, editorial and programming oversight. Formerly Senior VP of news operations for CNN International, Maddox was responsible for operational and administrative oversight of CNN’s 26 international bureaux. He joined CNN in 1998 as Managing Editor for Europe, Middle East and Africa coverage. Previously, he spent 13 years with BBC as a Reporter, Producer, Editor and News Executive.
