ASCI Code made compulsory for TV, surrogate ads expected to be hit the most?blur=25

The amendment made in Cable Television Networks (Amendment) Rules, 2006 makes it mandatory for TV ads to follow the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Code. Even as all parties involved – channels, advertisers and advertising agencies – do not see significant ‘readjusting’ happening, most felt that surrogate advertising would be hit in a significant manner.
