It is learnt from sources close to the development that Shantonu Aditya, CEO of Bloomberg-UTV, has put in his papers. The move follows the recent restructuring and the collaboration of Bloomberg and UTVi. No official confirmation from Aditya or any UTV official was available at the time of filing the report.
DNA (Daily News and Analysis) has elevated Kamal Jain to Printer and Publisher. This will be in addition to his current role of Chief Financial Officer. Jain took charge as Printer and Publisher from November 24, 2009. He will continue reporting to KU Rao, CEO, DNA.
Future Media India Ltd, the media company from the Future Group, has further strengthened its team. The company has roped in Vijay Koshy as its National Sales Head, Nikhil Sheth as Business Head for Future TV, Print and Cinema units, and Rajneesh Jauhari as Regional Head (West & East). Sandip Tarkas, President - Customer Strategy, Future Group & CEO, Future Media, has confirmed the appointments.
InMobi has roped in Emmanuel Allix, a former GroupM hand, into their top management team to spearhead Asia Pacific. In this position, Allix will be responsible for the continuing growth of their revenue by deepening the relationships with advertisers and publishers. He joins InMobi from Pudding Media, where he was Managing Director.
Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd has announced the appointment of Chirag Shah, who is all set to head National Ad Sales. In his new role, Shah will be looking after Ad Sales for all businesses - Zapak.com, Zapak GamepleX and Zapak live (activation arm of Zapak). At Zapak, Shah will report to Arun Mehra, Chief Marketing Officer, Sales & Marketing. He has been instrumental in creating and maintaining revenues for West & South regions for Zapak consistently in the past and has been the back bone of all successful Ad Sales efforts until now. Shah has a total of 10 years of experience and has been with Zapak for three years now. He has also been associated with some companies like HT Media Ltd, where he worked for four years, heading sales for Hindustantimes.com
Bates 141 has appointed Shubhabrata Sarkar as CEO of its Indonesia agency. Sarkar counts top multinational and local brands in his client experience, including HSBC, Ford, Unilever, Shell, Mazda, Nokia, Hero Honda, Extra Joss, etc. He hails from JWT Indonesia, where he held the position of General Manager since the beginning of 2008. As GM, he was in charge of operations at JWT. At the same time, Sarkar was also leader of strategic planning and account service. He had joined JWT in 2006 as Strategic Planning Director. Prior to JWT, Sarkar was with Result-McCann India as National Creative Director from 2005 to 2006. He had originally joined McCann-Erickson in 1992, where he worked on a varied portfolio of multinational and local brands and rose to become head of the creative team at Result-McCann (direct marketing and activation). He then moved to JWT and TBWA in India.
Ravikumar Gilganchi has joined Kasthuri TV as National Sales Head. He will be based out of Bangalore. Gilganchi moves from ETV Network Channels, where he had two stints including the initial phase of his career. Following this, he moved to Zee Network where he was looking after the ad sales of Zee Kannada and Zee Telugu. He then joined Tata Teleservices, and back to ETV again.
Nilay Kumar has joined digital and mobile entertainment company Hungama Digital Media as Assistant Vice President – Managed Business, for their Mobile Business. Prior to this, Kumar was Deputy General Manager – Hubs & Managed Services at Comviva (erstwhile Bharti Telesoft Ltd). At Humgama, Kumar will be responsible for the Managed Services portfolio, where he will be overlooking initiatives that will enable value added managed services for telecom service providers across the globe. Kumar will be reporting into Albert Almeida, COO, Hungama Mobile. Kumar has spent 11 years in the telecom industry, of which the last four years have been focused on the telecom value added services space. In addition to the Indian market, he has worked in close quarters in the international telecom market, having handled many of the leading global telecom groups, operator associations and international long distance carriers. Apart from Comviva, Kumar has also worked with leading players such as Airtel Mob
Swati Katakam, AVP, Grey Public Relations, has put in her papers. She now joins STC Associates as Regional Director. Prior to Grey, Katakam was with The Times of India’s ‘Newspaper in Education’ and then for an education dotcom. Later, she joined a silver boutique company.
Online travel agency Yatra.com has appointed Pratik Mazumder as Head of Marketing. He replaces Nikhil Rungta, who recently moved to Google (India) as Marketing Head. Mazumder has more than 15 years of experience spanning advertising and marketing. Prior to joining Yatra.com, he was running his own brand consultancy firm, Trojan Horse. Before that, he was Head of Brand and Communication at Bharti Airtel for a span of seven years. In the advertising space, Mazumder has worked with agencies such as Ogilvy One Worldwide and Enterprise Nexus Direct.
Ideacts Innovations, an Internet media company that has Clinck Desktop, has announced the appointment of Ratnakar Bharti as Head of Sales. Prior to Ideacts, Bharti was with Rediff.com India Ltd, where he was Director - Media Sales, West. He was with Rediff.com for nearly seven years. At Ideacts, Bharti will be responsible to further build and strengthen Ideacts’ position in the new media segment by leveraging the potential of the burgeoning Internet market and cyber café business.

English daily DNA saw the exits of two senior hands earlier today. Ayaz Memon, Editor-at-large, and Ishu Bhalla, Head - Revenues have quit the organisation. Confirming the development, KU Rao, CEO, DNA, informed that he would not be replacing either of the two positions, but has instead reorganised the structure. He also informed that Ayaz Memon would continue with DNA as a columnist.
Mudra Group has announced the elevation of Jude Fernandes as CEO of Mudra Advertising and, Sandeep Vij has become the CEO of and DDB Mudra Group. The structure has been put in place to drive the future of the group, where in DDB Mudra too is set to become a stronger brand.

Chandru was earlier Business Head of Zee Tamil and had taken his new responsibility in July this year. He has been with the company for around two years now.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has announced the transfer of its current Managing Director & CEO, HS Lheem, to its headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. The transfer is effective from November 5, 2009. Lheem had joined Hyundai Motor India Ltd in December 2005 and has been leading the company to record sales and commissioning of the second manufacturing unit in Sreeperumbedur in 2008. Lheem will be succeeded by HW Park, the current Senior Executive Director, Administration & CFO, HMIL, who will now take over as MD & CEO, HMIL.

Colaco has over 13 years of professional experience and some of the notable clients he has worked with include Barclays Bank PLC, Axis Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Tata Indicom, AXN, Airtel (Maharashtra and Goa), HBO, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Star Plus, etc. In 1999, he began his career with Primesite Outdoor Advertising and subsequently moved to The Media Network in 2001. He worked with Madison Outdoor Media Services and later in 2002 moved to Portland India Outdoor Advertising as Group Account Director. He has the experience of handling and launching many national brands across diverse categories.
Online movie rental company Seventymm has appointed Mudit Khosla as CEO. In his new role, Khosla, former founding GM and Business Head of Yatra.com, will be reporting to the Board of Directors of Seventymm.com. He will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s long-term growth strategies, launching new initiatives and developing new earning opportunities, thereby capitalising on the Rs 100-crore fund-raised from Matrix Partners India, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and NEA Indo-US Ventures.
