Kamal Karanth has taken charge as Head of South East Asian operations of Ma Foi. He would be integrating the operations of Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and China. Karanth’s previous stints include Eli Lilly and Xcyton Diagnostics in Sales and Marketing. He joined Ma Foi in 2001 and has worked his way through various roles starting from business development for Temp Staffing and was the Regional Head for Tamil Nadu and Kerala. He has been responsible for operations of Ma Foi and select appointments in Malaysia since July 2004 before being elevated to his current role. Ma Foi started in 1992 in Chennai with a focus on recruitment services. It has grown to become one of the leading HR services provider in India.

Intercontinental Hotels Group has appointed Markus Mueller as Area Director-Sales & Marketing, South West Asia. Mueller will be responsible for sales and marketing activities in the South West Asia region comprising India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan. He was previously Area Director-Sales & Marketing, Resorts, Southern Asia and was responsible for the sales and marketing division for resort hotels in Thailand.
