Cyber cafes losing out to homes on Internet access front: IAMAI-IMRB study?blur=25

Cyber cafes or public access points still remain the primary Internet access points in India, a study by IAMAI and IMRB International has revealed. However, the share of cyber cafes has been steadily declining from a peak of 52 per cent in 2003. Access from home, however, has steadily risen from 23 per cent in 2003 to 31 per cent in 2006.

Sun TV’s Q2 profit jumps 43 pc to Rs 47.96 crore?blur=25

Sun TV Ltd, the largest television broadcaster in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, has reported a 42.69 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 47.96 crore for the second quarter ending September 30, 2006. The net profit for the corresponding quarter last fiscal stood at Rs 33.61 crore.
