The Joint Industry Body (JIB), which was a combination of members of the ISA, AAAI and the IBF, has dissolved. In its place, the industry members have united to create the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), which would be officially constituted in a couple of months. Pradeep Guha is the Chairman designate of BARC.

There was a 24% dip in Print advertising by the IT sector during H1 2007. Laptops/Notebooks had the largest chunk of advertising share of 23%. The IT industry mostly used General Interest newspapers and IT magazines for advertising. Hewlett Packard topped the advertisers’ list led with 26% share. Metro newspapers led with 51% share of the total advertising.
