The National Readership Studies Council (NRSC) has fructified the details of the National Readership Survey (NRS). The NRS is expected to be rejuvenated and launched in a new avatar in May 2010. The agency for the project is understood to be Hansa Research that has been partnering with the MRUC for the last six years to bring out the Indian Readership Survey (IRS). NRS 2010 is planned as a quarterly survey.

Mother Dairy is on the lookout for a creative partner for its frozen fruits and vegetables brand Safal. The account size is pegged at Rs 8 crore. Senior sources close to the development have confirmed the news. Mudra is the incumbent agency for Safal, while the rest of the Mother Dairy portfolio is being handled by Saatchi & Saatchi.

Following a multi-agency pitch, Kolkata-based McNroe Chemicals Ltd has decided on Meridian Delhi to handle the creative duties for two of its deo brands, Wild Stone and Secret Temptation. The two brands are marketed by Future Brands Ltd. Euro RSCG is the incumbent agency for Secret Temptation.

The Indian advertising industry needs to acknowledge the role of execution and, therefore, needs to put in a lot of effort in that regard. I have noticed that as an industry in India we put in lesser effort on execution as compared to international agencies. Hence, this could be one of the reasons that India scores lower than normal in the international awards front.
