In the wake of a multi-agency pitch, McCann Erickson has bagged the creative duties of Neo Sports and Neo Cricket, the sports channels from Nimbus Communications. Ogilvy & Mather was the incumbent agency. The estimated account size is Rs 20 crore.

HT Media Q3 revenues up 5 pc at Rs 3,371 mn; net profit down to Rs 78 mn?blur=25

HT Media Ltd’s Q3 results are a mixed bag. On the one hand, the media major has reported a 5 per cent increase in its total revenues, from Rs 3,219 million to Rs 3,371 million. On the other hand, the company’s net profit dropped to Rs 78 million from 369 million on account of higher newsprint prices, lower advertising, etc.

RGB’s GEC called ‘Real’; expected to launch in March 2009?blur=25

Real Global Broadcasting (RGB), the joint venture between Alva Brothers and Turner, has decided to name its Hindi general entertainment channel ‘Real’. RGB is targeting March 2009 as the deadline to launch the channel. It is understood that the channel would focus 40 per cent of its content on reality programmes, and the rest 60 per cent would be on fiction shows.

Nimbus Sport International has acquired the telecast rights of the India-Sri Lanka series, which is scheduled to commence from January 28, 2009, comprising five ODIs and one T20.
