Dainik Jagran is gearing up to launch its compact daily, Inext, in mid-December. The daily has been targeted at the Generation Next in the 18-34 age group, SEC A and B1 audience. The paper would initially be launched in Kanpur and Lucknow. There are plans to have around 30 editions of the daily by 2007-08.

There was a dip of 8% in IT sector ad volumes during Jan-Oct ’06, with Desktops and Laptops/Notebooks contributing a big share of the advertising. South zone publications had the highest share of IT advertising. Among Newspapers, the advertising was skewed towards ‘General Interest’ dailies. HP was the top IT sector advertiser.
