IRS 2006 R2: Dainik Jagran tops dailies, Saras Salil rules magazines, TOI only English daily in Top 10 list?blur=25

Indian Readership Survey (IRS) 2006, Round 2 has been declared on Tuesday based on the average issue readership of the publications. The top three dailies in terms of readership are Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar and Hindustan. Among magazines, the top three names are Saras Salil, Vanitha (Malayalam) and India Today (English).

Main Issue garnered a huge 82 per cent share while Supplements had an 18 per cent share in overall Print advertising in Jan-Aug ’06. A high 33 per cent growth seen in advertising in Supplements in Jan-Aug ’06 over Jan-Aug ’05 while Main Issue advertising saw a 15 per cent rise. Educational Institutions topped advertising in Main Issue as well as in Supplements.
