He is Chennai-bound as VP and Executive Creative Director at JWT India’s Chennai office, thus becoming the agency’s youngest Executive Creative Director at the age of just 33. Kumar joins Joono Simon, VP and Creative Director, and will continue to work on national and regional projects for key accounts of JWT India.

French media and telecommunications conglomerate Vivendi has agreed to acquire BMG Music Publishing from Bertelsmann of Germany for about $1.6 billion euros ($2.05 billion), according to a source familiar with the situation. The acquisition will make Universal's music publishing holdings the largest in the world.

Tom Freston is leaving Viacom, less than a year after the company split from CBS. Amid a lagging stock price – down 20 per cent since last January when it split from CBS – the Viacom CEO resigned. Viacom Chairman Sumner Redstone issued a statement on Tuesday morning with the news. Freston, 60, will be replaced by a member of the board, Philippe Dauman.
