Venkatesh Kini replaces Vikas Gupta as VP-Marketing, Coca Cola India?blur=25

Venkatesh Kini has been appointed Vice-President, Coca Cola India. He replaces Vikas Gupta, who had quit as VP-Marketing, Coca Cola India, on June 30, 2006. The appointment is effective from September 1, 2006. Kini moves from Atlanta, where he was VP, Sprite and Flavors Brand Business Unit in Coca-Cola North America.

Mobile users making beeline to ATMs for recharge?blur=25

An increasing number of bank customers have started using the ATMs not only to replenish their wallets but also to recharge their mobile pre-paid connections. The service commenced in 2005. By the end of last year, banks were witnessing around 2000 transactions per day. This year, the number of transactions has gone up three times to around 6,000 per day.

Jagran Prakashan Ltd, publishers of ‘Dainik Jagran’, has reported net revenues of Rs 136.67 crore for Q1 FY07, an increase of 20 per cent over the corresponding quarter last year. The net profit was at Rs 22.89 crore FY2006-07, a sharp increase from Rs 4.29 crore in the previous fiscal.
