N Madhavan, Senior Editor with Financial Express, has put in his papers. He will be joining Hindustan Times as Associate Editor from August 1 and will look after the business section of the newspaper. Madhavan brings with him over 20 years’ experience in business journalism. He started his career with The Economic Times and moved to Business Standard after six years. Thereafter, Madhavan spent around 12 years with Reuters before moving to Express.

Suresh Amarnani, who till recently was Group Business Director with Mudra, has joined MIRC Electronics as Marketing Head. MIRC owns the popular Onida brand. Amarnani’s mandate at MIRC will be to strengthen the brand, which is an ongoing process. He will report to Vivek Sharma, VP, Sales & Marketing. Amarnani has worked with agencies such as Contract, O&M, Lowe & Partners/Monsoon (Singapore). In between, he also did a short stint with Quadrant. He was with Mudra for the last five years.
