The Outlook group is launching a business and investment magazine in March 2006. This is the second launch announcement from Outlook, the first being Marie Claire, an international women’s magazine, which too is slated for launch next year. The business magazine, a monthly, will be priced at Rs 50.

Indian television’s first 3D serial will go on air on Jaya TV from January 2006. ‘Mayavi’ will be the first of the two serials commissioned to GV Films by Jaya TV to go on air, and will air on weekends. It is expected to have a run of 52 episodes. ‘Paramapadham’, the second show in the format, will start airing soon after.

HDFC Standard Life has awarded its creative business to Leo Burnett, following a multi-agency pitch process in which nine other agencies had reportedly participated. The account size is pegged in the region of Rs 12-15 crore. The incumbent agency on the account was Dentsu Marcom.

In fact, so rushed was the launch that there were no sound bytes from any CNN-IBN official, including Rajdeep Sardesai. This has resulted in various speculations in the industry about the need to rush into the launch.
