The Sun Network is partnering the Richard Gere-Parmeshwar Godrej founded ‘Heroes Project’ to spread awareness on HIV/AIDS. An entertainment event was held on October 22 at Hyderabad, titled ‘A Time for Heroes’, as a launching pad for a sustained media and societal leaders programme. The star-studded show will go on air on Sun group channels on December 1, the World Aids Day.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India and Nimbus Sport International Pte Ltd, Singapore, have eached an agreement, whereby Nimbus Sport will distribute all media rights outside India for the forthcoming India vs Sri Lanka and India vs South Africa Series being played in India in October and November 2005.

Trai's freeze on subscription rates and a drop in advt revenue adds to the TV channel woes. They also point out that the current freeze on television channel subscription rates imposed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India and content-sharing will completely wipe out subscription-based revenue.
