In a significant boost to Doordarshan's proposed direct-to-home service, Sun Network has agreed to let two of its channels, including its flagship Tamil channel Sun TV, be part of DD's bouquet. Malayalam general entertainment channel Surya TV will be the other Sun Network channel to feature on the DTH platform.

The Rs 100-crore Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine India Pvt. Ltd (ADSWL) plans to soon launch its international brands of tequila and scotch in India. Managing Director Harish Moolchandani says the new brands, Sauza Tequila and Ballantines Scotch, will be launched in October 2004.

But, thanks to FM stations, the potential of Radio as a reach medium today is as high as Print, if not more, in Delhi and Mumbai. And, the average time spent listening to Radio is as good as average TV viewing time.
