Goafest 2015: MSM and Viacom18 Group win 6 metals at Broadcaster Abbys
UTV wins 4 metals, NDTV takes home 3 metals. MSM and Viacom18 Group win 4 Golds each

On day two of Goafest 2015, Broadcaster Abbys were announced. MSM and Viacom18 Group win 6 metals each.
MSM’s first Gold was in Best TV Reality Show Promo which they won for Kaun Banega Crorepati for their Old Man campaign. The second Gold was under the category Best TV Sports Channel Program Promo which they won for Sony Six for their campaign CTL 2014. MSM’s third Gold was under the category Best Movie Promo By A TV Channel which they won for Sony Pix for their campaign Pix School of Bonding. MSM also won 1Silver for their campaign Mother under the brand Hum Hain Na under the category of Best TV Fiction Promo.
UTV Entertainment also grabbed 4 metals with 2 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. UTV grabbed their first Gold under the category Best launch of A TV Channel for their campaign Bindass Play and second Gold for the same campaign under the category Best Original Music Score For A TV Program.
UTV got 1 Silver for their campaign Kabhi aisa geet gaya karo for Best Launch of a TV Program Using Multi-media and 1 Bronze for the same campaign under the category of Best TV Sports Channel Program Promo.
NDTV got 2 Silvers for their campaign NDTV Trust and Save our Tiger campaign under the category of Best TV News Channel Promo and 1 Bronze for NDTV Dettol Banega Swacch India campaign under the category Best TV program for cause related marketing.
Colors , Viacom 18 got their first Gold for their campaign Bigg Boss 8- for Best Launch of a TV Program Using Multi-media . Their second Gold was for Udaan for their campaign ‘Udaan Haveli 35 sec’ under the category of Best TV Fiction Promo.
Colors also won one silver for their campaign ‘Udaan Varan Mala 30 sec’.
Colors Marketing also grabbed two Gold metals. Their first Gold was for their Udaan launch campaign under the category Best Launch of a TV Program Using Multi-media. They got second Gold for their Code Red Launch campaign under the category Best TV Program for Cause Related Marketing.
Star India won their only gold Metal for Satyamev Jayate season 3 launch campaign under the category of Best Launch of a TV Program Using Multi-media.
Viacom 18 also won their only Silver for their campaign ‘Be The Boss’ under the category Best TV Kids Program.
SAB TV won 1 Gold and 1 Silver metal. They got gold for Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma for their campaign Digital Divides SAB Unites under the category Best TV Comedy Show promo. They also won Silver for their campaign ‘Yeh humme kya ho gaya’ under the category statement of best original music score for a TV program.
TV Today got only gold for their campaign Sach On Karo for Best TV News Channel Promo. .
TV 18 manages to get 1 Bronze for their campaign ‘Hausla Hai’ under the category of Best TV News Channel Promo and 1 Silver for their ‘Power of 49’ campaign under the category Best TV Program for Cause Related Marketing.
GenX Entertainment Ltd won 2 Gold metals. Their first Gold was for their campaign B For Change under the category Best TV Program for Cause Related Marketing.
They won another Gold for Star Wars generic promo in Best Movie Promo By A TV Channel.
Chutti TV won their only Bronze metal for Kids Channel Promos under the category Best Original Music Score for a TV Program.

Swapan Seth's new book 'COOL' is out

Advertising professional and art collector Swapan Seth has announced the launch of his new book COOL. The book is described as "a ready reckoner to the hip and the happening, of the known and the very unknown."
The book is a reflection of the author's "eclectic taste across categories: from boltholes to exotic hideaways."
COOL has been published by Simon & Schuster India and is available on Amazon.
Seth is an ad veteran with a long and illustrious career in the industry. He became the youngest-ever Creative Director at Clarion at age 24. He was VP at 26 at Trikaya Grey. Two years later, he started his agency Equus.
He writes for publications such as The Economic Times, Hindustan Times and India Today. This is his second book and he has previously published THIS IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY.

Disney Star signs 9 sponsors for Asia Cup PAK

e4m Staff Disney Star has signed nine broadcast and digital streaming sponsors for the upcoming Asia Cup.
Charged by Thums Up, Nerolac Paint+, Amazon Pay, Jindal Panther, My11Circle, MRF, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, Wild Stone and Thums Up have come on board for the upcoming tournament.
As reported earlier by exchange4media, Disney Star has sought Rs 26 crore for the co-presenting sponsorship on TV and Rs 30 crore for Disney+ Hotstar.
According to industry sources, the associate sponsorship on Star Sports has been priced at Rs 19.66 crore, whereas for the ‘powered by’ sponsorship on Disney+ Hotstar, the broadcaster is seeking Rs 18 crore.
As per the information available with exchange4media, Disney+ Hotstar has three sponsorship tiers-- co-presenting (Rs 30 crore), powered by (Rs 18 crore) and associate sponsorship (Rs 12 crore). The broadcaster is offering an estimated reach of 120-140 million for co-presenting sponsors, 90-100 million for powered by and 60-70 million for associate sponsorship.
A spot buy for 10 seconds has been priced at Rs 25 lakh for the India vs Pakistan matches, while for the non-India matches, the ad rate for 10 second is Rs 2.3 lakh. The India matches plus the final for ODIs has been priced at Rs 17 lakh per 10 seconds.
Asia Cup is scheduled to be held from 30 August, 2023, to September 17, 2023.
