Flashed Yesterday: TapRoot India’s Agnello Dias in Titanium & Integrated Jury @Cannes Lions

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has announced the line-up of the 2012 Titanium and Integrated Jury, the festival’s most elite category. Titanium and Integrated is the only category where festival organisers do not work to represent different countries but only include creative professionals of stature with proven track records.

This year, Agnello Dias, Chief Creative Officer, TapRoot India will be representing India on this category.

The only Indian creative professional who has been on this jury so far is McCann Worldgroup’s Prasoon Joshi.

The Titanium and Integrated jury will be chaired by Rob Reilly, Worldwide Chief Creative Officer of Crispin Porter + Bogusky (CP+B).

The jury, in addition to recognising the most path breaking work in the global advertising industry, will select the winner of the Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Good, awarded to the most creative piece of work in the charities and public services category across all entry sections.

Recently voted the ‘IMPACT Person of the Year’, advertising wordsmith Dias has been a pioneer in the creative world for almost two decades. He has won laurels on several international award platforms. He was the brain behind the catchy Airtel jingle “Har ek friend zaroori hota hai” that got the nation’s youth humming. His recent Mumbai Mirror campaign also had a hard-hitting impact. Over the years, Dias has become one of the most influential people in the Indian advertising industry.

Taking a look at the Jury President’s background, Reilly joined CP+B in 2003 and created many memorable campaigns. His current role as Worldwide Chief Creative Officer sees him drive the creative vision for all of CP+B's clients including Microsoft Windows, Coke Zero, Domino's Pizza, American Express OPEN, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, Milka and Jell-O.

"The Titanium and Integrated category serves to award truly breakthrough campaigns that cause the industry to stop in its tracks. It is only right then that the leader of the jury should be someone who has achieved this. We're delighted to have Reilly on board leading an equally high calibre jury that will look to define the standard for ground-breaking creativity when they come together in Cannes," said Terry Savage, Chairman of Cannes Lions.
