Euro RSCG Delhi has beefed up its senior creative team. Besides roping in two Group Account Directors – Sandeep Handa and Sumit Kishore – the agency has also appointed Gurdev Singh Sidhu as Group Head and Ajay Saini as Creative Supervisor.

Euro RSCG Delhi makes key additions to its creative team

Euro RSCG Delhi has beefed up its senior creative team with some key appointments. The agency has roped in Sandeep Handa and Sumit Kishore as Group Account Directors. Gurdev Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu, has joined as Group Head, while Ajay Saini has joined the agency as Creative Supervisor.

Commenting on these new appointments, Sushant Panda, Director, Euro RSCG, said, “I am delighted to have these people on the board. We are our beefing up our team. With the number of accounts that we have won in the recent months, we needed a team to work on the new businesses. We have aggressive plans to pitch for new business as well, so I feel these people will help in bringing in new businesses to the table.”

Prior to joining Euro RSCG, Handa was with Contract Delhi as an Account Director for seven years. Handa, who has 11 years’ experience in advertising, began his career as a management trainee in RK Swamy BBDO. He has handled several well known clients including, Adidas, Luxor Pens, Cosmopolitan magazine, India Today, HCL Infosystems, Toshiba laptops, Beanstalk Home PC, Infinity range of servers, PVR Cinemas, Maruti WagonR, JK Tyre, Honda motorcycle and scooters, and NIIT among others.

Said Handa, “I quit Contract because I wanted to take up the challenge of handling an FMCG brand.”

The second Group Account Director, Sumit Kishore’s last stint was with Ideas Creative Hotshop, where he was an Account Director for two years. He has earlier worked with EQQUS and Grey Worldwide, and has handled brands like Aviva Life Insurance, Nasscom, Microsoft, Citi Financial, Microsoft, MAX New York Life Insurance, and Matrix Cellular, among others.

Gurdev Singh Sidhu, who is joining as Group Head, will be mainly handling Good Year, Dabur, Mortein, Cherry Blossom shoe polish, and Collins. His last stint was with Saatchi & Saatchi, where he was Creative Supervisor. He had also worked with Lintas for three and a half years as Art Director. He began his career with RAM Advertising. And has handled several key clients like Greenply, Maruti Omni, Alto, LG, Hyundai, Mother Diary and Mac Lubricant.

Giving the reason for quitting Saatchi & Saatchi, Sidhu said, “You basically need right people around you. I was quite excited to work with Satbir. Most of the people had left the Saatchi & Saatchi creative team. Another reason was that Ajay Saini has been a very good friend, but we are getting a chance to work for the first time together.”

Another new person to join Euro RSCG is Ajay Saini, who has joined as Creative Supervisor. He will be mainly working on Good Year and MY FM. His last stint was with Hakudo Percept for three and a half years. He has earlier worked with Crescent for three. He has handled a variety of accounts like Maruti Zen, Hamdard, Sony Handicam and Cyber Shot, Jaguar Bath fittings, Hindware, and Hindustan Zinc Ltd, among others.

Said Saini, “I wanted to take up new challenges, gain more experience and knowledge in life. I feel this move will boost my career in a big way.”

Advertising professional and art collector Swapan Seth has announced the launch of his new book COOL. The book is described as "a ready reckoner to the hip and the happening, of the known and the very unknown."

The book is a reflection of the author's "eclectic taste across categories: from boltholes to exotic hideaways."

COOL has been published by Simon & Schuster India and is available on Amazon.

Seth is an ad veteran with a long and illustrious career in the industry. He became the youngest-ever Creative Director at Clarion at age 24. He was VP at 26 at Trikaya Grey. Two years later, he started his agency Equus.

He writes for publications such as The Economic Times, Hindustan Times and India Today. This is his second book and he has previously published THIS IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY.

e4m Staff Disney Star has signed nine broadcast and digital streaming sponsors for the upcoming Asia Cup.

Charged by Thums Up, Nerolac Paint+, Amazon Pay, Jindal Panther, My11Circle, MRF, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, Wild Stone and Thums Up have come on board for the upcoming tournament.
As reported earlier by exchange4media, Disney Star has sought Rs 26 crore for the co-presenting sponsorship on TV and Rs 30 crore for Disney+ Hotstar.

According to industry sources, the associate sponsorship on Star Sports has been priced at Rs 19.66 crore, whereas for the ‘powered by’ sponsorship on Disney+ Hotstar, the broadcaster is seeking Rs 18 crore.

As per the information available with exchange4media, Disney+ Hotstar has three sponsorship tiers-- co-presenting (Rs 30 crore), powered by (Rs 18 crore) and associate sponsorship (Rs 12 crore). The broadcaster is offering an estimated reach of 120-140 million for co-presenting sponsors, 90-100 million for powered by and 60-70 million for associate sponsorship.

A spot buy for 10 seconds has been priced at Rs 25 lakh for the India vs Pakistan matches, while for the non-India matches, the ad rate for 10 second is Rs 2.3 lakh. The India matches plus the final for ODIs has been priced at Rs 17 lakh per 10 seconds.

Asia Cup is scheduled to be held from 30 August, 2023, to September 17, 2023.
