BEI Confluence on account winning spree

Over the last three months, BEI Confluence has been winning large and prestigious brands across the country.

The Kolkata office of the agency has recently bagged Balmer Lawrie’s leading brand of automotive lubricants & greases, Balmerol. Balmer Lawrie is a large and diversified PSU with products and services ranging from Travel & Tourism services, packaged tea, lubricants & greases, logistics, etc. The agency already handles its Travel & Tourism and packaged tea brands.

The Bangalore office of BEI Confluence has won the coveted Blue Hill Logistics’ super luxury road travel business which is one of its kind in India. Currently this service is operating between Bangalore and Chennai and is soon going to spread to other cities like Hyderabad, Tirupathi, Pondicherry with Bangalore as the hub.

This account moved recently to BEI Confluence from Euro RSCG, Bangalore, after a competitive pitch in which two of top ten agencies pitched along with BEI Confluence in Bangalore in the last week of May 2011.

This ultra luxury road travel is also being introduced in the North with Delhi as the hub and connecting Chandigarh, Agra, Dehra Dun, Jaipur over next three months. These multi axle luxury buses from Volvo and Mercedes Benz designed and renovated by Dilip Chhabria are expected to finally bring international standard full service super luxury road travel in India and be the trend setter in this category, matching the best in the world.

Dr Oetker, one of the most trusted purveyors of European cuisine to more than 50 countries, recently launched its popular brand muesli brand Vitalis in India. BEI Confluence, Delhi, has been entrusted with the advertising and media business for its launch.

The Delhi office of the agency has also won the creative duties of Nippo Batteries and Torches. Nippo is a leading name in the category and enjoys a strong brand franchise across the country. BEI Confluence, Delhi, has also won the creative work for Radiohms Agencies Ltd (RAL), one of India’s largest FMCG, solar & consumer appliances products marketing company.

Last month, India witnessed the launch of CleanBold Power Erazer, a powerful multi-purpose cleaning pad, which wipes surfaces as clean as new using just water. BEI Confluence, Delhi, has been involved in the entire mapping of its strategic direction and communication plans.

Meanwhile, BEI Confluence has recently re-constituted its Board of Directors and has appointed Bashab Sarkar as Executive Director & CEO of the company. Sarkar will lead the Strategic Planning and 360 Initiatives of the Group alongside the media consultancy division.

Sarkar comes in with over 29 years of experience in General Management, Account Planning, Media and 360 initiatives in leading agencies like TSME (now McCann Erickson), Contract, O&M, and GroupM’s leading media organisation, Maximize (now known as Maxus), where he was the first Managing Director.

Anwar Abbas, Senior VP/ National Creative Director (NCD) and one of the founding members of BEI Confluence in 1998, has been inducted into the Board of Directors of the company. Abbas will provide the creative excellence of the agency in facilitating its creative process and solutions for the clients’ brands.

Tapas Gupta, Founder/ CEO of BEI Confluence, has now become the Chairman & Managing Director of the Group.

Advertising professional and art collector Swapan Seth has announced the launch of his new book COOL. The book is described as "a ready reckoner to the hip and the happening, of the known and the very unknown."

The book is a reflection of the author's "eclectic taste across categories: from boltholes to exotic hideaways."

COOL has been published by Simon & Schuster India and is available on Amazon.

Seth is an ad veteran with a long and illustrious career in the industry. He became the youngest-ever Creative Director at Clarion at age 24. He was VP at 26 at Trikaya Grey. Two years later, he started his agency Equus.

He writes for publications such as The Economic Times, Hindustan Times and India Today. This is his second book and he has previously published THIS IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY.

Charged by Thums Up, Nerolac Paint+, Amazon Pay, Jindal Panther, My11Circle, MRF, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, Wild Stone and Thums Up have come on board for the upcoming tournament.
As reported earlier by exchange4media, Disney Star has sought Rs 26 crore for the co-presenting sponsorship on TV and Rs 30 crore for Disney+ Hotstar.

According to industry sources, the associate sponsorship on Star Sports has been priced at Rs 19.66 crore, whereas for the ‘powered by’ sponsorship on Disney+ Hotstar, the broadcaster is seeking Rs 18 crore.

As per the information available with exchange4media, Disney+ Hotstar has three sponsorship tiers-- co-presenting (Rs 30 crore), powered by (Rs 18 crore) and associate sponsorship (Rs 12 crore). The broadcaster is offering an estimated reach of 120-140 million for co-presenting sponsors, 90-100 million for powered by and 60-70 million for associate sponsorship.

A spot buy for 10 seconds has been priced at Rs 25 lakh for the India vs Pakistan matches, while for the non-India matches, the ad rate for 10 second is Rs 2.3 lakh. The India matches plus the final for ODIs has been priced at Rs 17 lakh per 10 seconds.

Asia Cup is scheduled to be held from 30 August, 2023, to September 17, 2023.
