Industry Leaders delighted with Raj Nayak's appointment as President of The Ad Club
Ogilvy's Piyush Pandey, Mullen Lowe Lintas Group's R Balki, India TV's Rajat Sharma, NDTV's KVL Narayan Rao, GroupM's CVL Srinivas and JWT's Colvyn Harris, express their full support on the election of Raj Nayak (CEO of Colors) as Ad Club President and expect the Advertising Club to reach new heights under his leadership

Earlier this week the Advertising Club announced the unanimous election of Colors CEO Raj Nayak as President. An industry veteran, Nayak has been on various industry bodies including the Indian Broadcasters Foundation, Advertising Standards Council of India & The International Advertising Association - India Chapter.
His election as President of the Advertising Club has been welcomed by industry leaders across domains who have not only asserted their faith in Nayak’s capabilities, but expressed their expectations of the Advertising Club being taken to all new heights under his leadership.
Rajat Sharma, Chairman & Editor-in-Chief of India TV, and President of the NBA said, “Happy to hear about Raj Nayak’s appointment. Given his vast experience, I am sure The Advertising Club will scale new heights under his leadership. I wish him all the very best.”
Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman and Creative Director, South Asia Ogilvy & Mather India said, “I think Raj Nayak is a very dynamic man and the Ad Club can only benefit from his experience. In a way I see it as good as Pradeep Guha being the Ad Club head some years back. Being a media man and being a successful CEO, I think he brings an added element to that scenario, and hopefully he is going to take it to a new level in the days ahead. He is in a good position to revive the haydays of the Ad Club which we haven’t seen for a few years now.”
KVL Narayan Rao, Executive Vice Chairperson, NDTV said, "I am very happy that Raj Nayak is the new President of the AdClub. He is a consummate professional, incredibly talented, hugely experienced and what is most important, a good man. I am certain his contribution will be immense. I wish him all the best."
R Balki, Group Chairman, Mullen Lowe Lintas Group thinks Nayak is possibly the perfect man to head the Ad Club. “He is a man who is constantly looking for solutions and never gets bogged down by a problem... A quality that the ad club badly needs today. Being a channel head he has a much better perspective of the consumption of advertising and therefore uniquely positioned to upgrade and overhaul the reward mechanisms for creativity in advertising,” he said.
Welcoming Nayak’s appointment as President, CVL Srinivas, CEO of GroupM South Asia said, “Raj becoming President of Ad Club is great news for the industry. He is a man of action and has always supported industry initiatives whole heartedly. I am sure the Ad Club will scale new peaks with him being at the helm."
Nayak was also chosen earlier this year to lead the Indian Delegation to Ad Asia 2015 to be held in Taipei in November.
Colvyn Harris, Executive Director Global Growth & Client Development at J. Walter Thompson Company said, “Raj is a very able administrator, he has always supported AAAI and Ad club, and is very collaborative in nature. He and his Management team will do extremely well.”
On his appointment Nayak had said, “I am humbled by the faith and trust that my friends and well wishers in the Industry have bestowed on me. It will be my sincere endeavor to work towards strengthening and building upon the foundation on which the club has been built over the last six decades."
